Oct 7-28 Holland America cruise from San Diego (Mexican Riviera)

Nov 11 - Dec 23 : Holland America cruise (with comedian Julie Barr) from San Diego (Mexican Riviera).

Joel Mason has been working on Holland America Line cruise ships for the last three years and is currently spending time in the Carribean on the MS ZUIDERDAM with fellow entertainers, Master Illusionist James Cielen (dovemagic.com) and comedienne Julie Barr. "Holland America is incredible to me and my family and I hope to work for this fine company for many years."

Florida Tour December '05: Joel is doing a brief solo tour in Florida in December at a number of community theater venues. "I don't often get a chance to perform solo... I really like stripping down the show to just me and the piano. It's a testament to the strength of these songs... they don't always need stage production to be entertaining. Some of these songs are even stronger solo."

Joel performed 2 shows in Hawaii this summer to raise funds for the Hawaii Fire deptartments. The first show was on Maui, and the 2nd at the Waikiki Sherton Hotel for 1500 people!

Comedian Andy Bumatai (andybumatai.com) was also on the bill, and both shows were knock out successes!  It was an amazing time, but the food was expensive!!! It's cheaper to eat money!!

Summer concert series: Joel took his band on the road all summer long in a hectic schedule back and forth across the USA. A couple of noteworthy evenings of fun include a tremendous night at Rancho Murietta in Sacramento, CA in July. The audience in attendance was absolutely amazing and responsive! They even insisted on 2 encores!! Go to bed already!

An evening in Springfield, OH, as part of a concert series for the Springfield Arts Council produced by J. Chris Moore, proved to be one of the highlights for my year. This was another outdoor event and there was an overwhelming turn out of people. It was the final concert of a series held at this new venue, and the concert series ended with a big bang, thanks to the people of Springfield! I even autographed a teenage boy's forehead! Click here for more.

Lowell, MA. Another beautiful evening, this time in Massachusetts! You couldn't ask for better weather, and it was another great crowd. Man, the people in Lowell are rowdy! Producer Michael Yorkell said the show was COOL! Well, he actually said, "it wasn't so hot", but I know what he meant. All kidding aside, it was another fun trip to the great state of MA!

Copenhagen, Denmark: 2 weeks in Denmark to perform with a symphony orchestra as part of a Castle Concert tour, including the Queen's castle in Auhus? Sign me up! Three concerts for over 40,000 people! I had never performed for that many people before in such a short amount of time. Summer 2004, I'll never forget you!

Denmark super-band Shu-Bi-Dua was also on the bill, and that left me being the only English speaking performer for 40,000 Danish people in attendance! Fish out of water? Yes. Would I do it again? straks! (it's Danish, look it up) Special thanks to producer Jens Hoffman for his kind hospitality!
